Ingredients:
6 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup all-purpose flour
1½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup milk
½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, mix peaches with ½ cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and lemon juice. Let sit for 10 minutes.
In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, remaining ½ cup sugar, and milk until smooth.
Pour melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Pour batter over butter, do not stir. Spoon peach mixture evenly over batter.
Bake for 45–50 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
